MILE – Men Impacting Lives in Education

Men Impacting Lives in Education, a group of area men who make an annual donation of $500 to the BSEF, was formed in the spring of 2023. Thirty-three Founding Partners donated $750 each to kick off the formation of the only men’s giving circle that we know of in the greater Kansas City area. In the 23-24 school year over 65 men donated a total of just over $37,000 to help impact excellence in the district. MILE funding has included the purchase of AEDs for the safety of students participating in district activities, at-risk funding for several needs in the district, several grants to teachers to enhance classroom innovation, support of the Eastern Jackson County Youth Court, and support of the GYOT program with $5,000 donations in each of its first two years.
